2012 Topps Hobby Wax football Random Break

This break is a random break meaning everyone pays the same price per team. Once enough teams have been sold I will randomize all the buyers using random.org and then I will randomize all the NFL teams using random.org. In both instances the list will be randomized three times. The list will be matched up and buyer #1 will get team #1, buyer #2 gets team #2 and so on.

Important change **** I am going to allow each buyer to pick 8 teams to remove from the random list. The eight teams that get the most votes will not be included in the random assortment. This means instead of 32 slots there will only be 24 slots. This drastically increases the chance that each slot will get a solid to very good team.

Each slot in the break will be priced at $30 (includes shipping). If you purchase more than 1 slot, then each additional slot will be $25.

The advantage to this style break is that everyone pays the same price. Teams like the Colts, Redskins and Browns have sold around $100 per individual team breaks. This way you limit your risk.


The randomization will occur immediately prior to the break and will be streamed live through USTREAM. I will read off each buyer and their team and then we will start the break.

This product releases on 8/8 and we will break within 1 week of release. Any unsold slots will belong to ME.

I am allowing the buyers to pick 8 teams to remove from the random. This means you, the buyers, can pick the 8 worst teams in your mind and we will take them out of the random so that as a buyer you can not get one of those bad spots. I am not sure how we will reach that decision yet, but I think we can work that out later.

That means out of 32 teams we will only fill 24 spots for the random slots. We have already sold 7 spots. That leaves 17 spots to be randomly assigned. Any unsold spots will be kept by me and will be determined as all the other teams (randomly).

Only 24 spots at max will be filled and only the best 24 teams will be available. That is clearly an advantage for the buyers.

Actually what I was going to ask for was you to rank your 12 worst teams from worst to best. The worst team will count as 12 points then the next worst will be 11 points, and so on. I will ask the other buyers to do the same. I will count your votes one time for each slot that you have. Once all the points are added up the 8 teams with the most points (the worst teams in the buyers choice) will be removed from the random. I can not alter the teams afterwards. Buyers choice.

Any buyers in this break reading this can post their 12 worst teams below. Make the top team on the list the worst team in your mind. Then the next worse team below that. Only do 12 teams.

Worst in this case = worst value for the money in this case break in your opinion.

If they get tossed out you can definitely buy them. If they don't get tossed out I can make you a deal on all the Seahawks cards that I have from my own personal case that I opened already. I'd be able to tell you exactly what you were getting since they are opened and sorted already.

ATTENTION BUYERS!

If you have not given me your list of teams to throw out please do so by Friday night. I would like to break this case over the weekend and want to announce the teams that will not be included.

If you fail to get me a list I will simply use the lists that I have been given and will remove teams based on those lists.
