I am still waiting on more responses. But it sounds like the few people who have emailed me prefer to wait and see who it is and give it to that team. The other option is to random it between all 31 spots. I am perfectly fine with either.

Its going to take 2-3 months to find out who it is. I say we just randomize it between the teams.

You think it will take that long for the list to be released? I don't want to redeem it, just get word of who player is.

What I have read, it does not say what player ur getting when u enter the code. So we're not going to find out what player it is until some of the other similar redemption start getting shipped. Then we have to figure out which player goes to which letter. By the time Topps starts shipping the mystery redemptions its going to be a couple of months. I hope that makes sense.

That makes sense. I was figuring there woukd be some release sonner than that. Either way, I am fine with the random idea. We could do it live as we do with the breaks. If I don't get much opposition then I am fine with the random idea.

My preference would be to wait and give it to the team that it should go to. I say this only b/c these things can be pretty valuable (Koufax, Ryan, etc.). That being said, the waiting period could be an issue. I have not heard who the subjects are yet. Not sure if a call to Topps would help.

I do have an email already in to my sales rep from the wholesaler to see if he can find out. Hopefully we will know sooner rather than later.

just realized koufax hasn't signed yet, and I have the dodgers, so I'm willing to wait to find out who the mystery players are

I actually don't think any of my teams have a play on it, but I stand by figuring out who it is, if we can.

The response I got was, "that's why it's a mystery we can't say who it is."

I think I will submit the card and record the submission live. Post that on ustream and you tube. If they say who it is at that time then we will know. Otherwise when the package arrives I will open that live on Ustream and then it will go to the appropriate team. Seems to be what most want and seems to be the most fair as well. If you paid a spot then you should get all your hits.

If for any reason the mystery signer is not a mlb player and can not be assigned to a team then it will be randomed off.

I will let you know when I plan to do the submission.

Erik, that sounds like an excellent idea. I'm am 100% for it. And MISTERT, No one can ever accuse me of NOT being greedy & selfish. I like the plan that gives ME the highest odds of winning! :D

If it is indeed your Koufax, you can buy me a beer at the National Collectors show in Baltimore next year. Heck, if its a Koufax you can but a beer for me, Erik, everyone else on the board who shows up at the show.

Side note...I have never been to the National, but as it is in Baltimore next year, I probably will go up and check it out.

I just saw on Blowout that someone redeemed subject B and it was Reggie Jackson. No word on team (Yankees v. A's).

Also, no word on A yet. But...they did say that the player was revealed when they entered the code.

That's great! Atleast we know the player will be revealed when the code is entered. That solves a lot of problems, really fast.

I think I will be breaking a case of Topps Chrome football tomorrow. I will do the redemption of this card about 15 minutes prior. I'll let you know an exact time once I get my schedule finalized.

A Red Sox patch and an Expos picture. Just one of many like this on Ebay. They are about 1/3 each between the Cubs, Expos and Sox...of the ones I saw anyway. I guess we have to wait for Erik to get the card.

All this for an Andre Dawson auto??? Oh well, I actually have always liked him as a player, just not what I was hoping for as a Mytery A auto redemption hit.

The last of the Bowman Chrome orders is shipping today 11/2/11. Sorry for any delay. Had to rearrange inventory and office space last week which set me back.

If this pic is right, The Hawk card will be him as an Expo...bummer...was hopping for his brief stint as a Red Sox.
